When Miami Dade County needed a safe room for their personnel stationed in the Everglades the County chose
a SafeDome as their solution. The SafeDome saved the County money from the additional expense of constructing
on site a more expensive permanent structure.
The jungle dome above is being used by the turtle refuge in Boca Raton, Florida GumboLimbo. During the
unusual cold weather experienced in 2010 many more turtles became ill. When DRD heard of the need for more space to
treat these turtles the company offered the use of several domes.
